The characteristics of extruded fiberglass grating
一、Corrosion resistance: Fiberglass extruded grilles have excellent corrosion resistance and can withstand various degrees of corrosion from various gas and liquid media such as acids, alkalis, organic solvents, and salts. Due to their lower surface resin content compared to molded grilles, their corrosion resistance is slightly worse. According to the actual usage requirements, ortho benzene, meta benzene, and vinyl resins can be economically selected as matrix materials.
二、Lightweight and high-strength: Fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) extruded grille is formed by heating and extruding reinforced materials such as fiberglass, continuous felt, and surface felt through resin infiltration. The high fiberglass content (over 60%) makes its unidirectional specific strength and specific stiffness quite prominent.
三、Flame retardant: Generally, the oxygen index of fiberglass extruded grilles is above 33, and the flame propagation rate (tested according to ASTM E-84) is less than 25, which is classified as flame retardant level 1 and recognized by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS); The oxygen index (GB8924) of the phenolic extruded grille reaches 100, and the flame propagation rate tested by ASTM E-84 is 5, with a smoke density of 10.
四、Impact resistance and fatigue resistance: Fiberglass extruded grilles, like molded grilles, have high impact strength and allow for repeated bending without permanent deformation; Has moderate elasticity, making personnel who work on it for a long time feel comfortable.
五、Anti slip: The surface of the fiberglass extruded grille has pre designed linear anti slip grooves, and additional anti slip effects can also be added by sanding with adhesive.
